Maria Mazo, already an award winner at the Van Cliburn (USA), Honens (Canada) and Busoni (Italy) International Piano Competitions, is the Winner of the 2013 International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna (playing with the Camerata Salzburg conducted by Louis Langrée). She also recently achieved great praise of audience and critics at the 2014 Arthur Rubinstein Piano Master Competition in Tel-Aviv where she was awarded the Audience Prize after performing with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Asher Fisch.
Maria Mazo began playing the piano at age five. She made her orchestra debut at age nine with Mozart’s Concerto Nr. 12. She studied with Prof. Arie Vardi and Prof. Matti Raekallio at the “Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater” in Hanover, Germany. In 2014-2015 Maria Mazo is performing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Israel, Japan, China and Australia. She has recorded selected sonatas by Beethoven.
